Object name Sickle
Description Semi-circular blade on long handle. Hand-made handle of fruit wood branch. Handle is split at one end for insertion of blade shank. Blade held in place by metal ring which fits over split halves of handle. A nail is driven throught he handle and through the matching hole in the shank to further secure the blade. The nail is wrapped around handle. Black electrical tape is wrapped around the handle where the branch has split. A red stripe in painted around handle near blade attachment.
